Being the Capital of Barbados and the leading commercial centre, this has to be one of the most interesting places in BGI to Visit. The population of this town is about 95,000 and was first named Indian Bridge and later became Bridgetown . Top Attractions: The deep water harbour is where the port for this city has been built with incredible shopping along the long waterfront. It's a shipment base for international routes and has many ships passing through each week. Main Exports are rum, sugar and provides much of the world's molasses. Bridgetown also has its own major stock exchange BSE. The city has great transportation with a cross between buses and taxis; they are privately owned minivans that follow specific routes around the island.
